WHEN DID YOU BEGIN CULTIVATING YOUR PRACTICE?

In college a friend talked me into going to a class with her and I've been hooked ever since. Initially, I only practiced Ashtanga, but twenty years later my practice has evolved and draws inspiration from many different methods of yoga beyond the physical.

I completed my training in 2015 with Marni Task. Marni is a certified Jivamukti teacher. Inspired by Anusara Yoga she developed a training that infused Anusara & Jivamukti yoga methods. I am a proud certified Jivasara Yoga teacher with the best of both worlds! I have trained with my teachers' teachers: Jivamukti Yoga founders Sharon Gannon and David Life. I am in the middle of my 300hr certification with international teacher Janet Stone. I am also an advanced bodyworker specializing in Thai Massage.

WHEN DID YOU BEGIN HELPING OTHERS CULTIVATE THEIR PRACTICE?

After I began practicing regularly and noticed a difference in my mood I wanted to share that feeling with everyone!

HOW DO YOU ENVISION CULTIVATE YOGA SERVING OUR COMMUNITY?

My mission is to lead an accessible class where everyone feels empowered and at home in their body. I envision holding space for a community seeking a deeper, more meaningful spiritual experience. I will integrate bhakti yoga into every class. When we sing together it connects us on the deepest level and is said to be the fastest way to enlightenment.

WHAT HAS YOGA HELPED TO CULTIVATE WITHIN YOU?

Higher purpose. I feel a deep connection to something bigger than all the hustle and bustle of our daily drama. Yoga has given me inner confidence and trust in the universe.

BESIDES YOGA, WHAT IS ONE THING THAT CULTIVATES JOY IN YOUR LIFE?

My animals. I have two Australian Shepherds, Leroy and Jasper and a super senior black cat named Thomas.
